Ingredients:
- 1 fresh cod fillet (about 200-250g)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
2. Rinse the cod fillet under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until aromatic.
4. Place the cod fillet in the skillet, skin side down, and cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin becomes crispy and golden brown. Flip the fillet gently using a spatula.
5. Drizzle the lemon juice over the fish and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque all the way through.
7. Remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the cod.
8. Serve the baked cod on a plate, garnished with lemon wedges.
