Przepis na bigos po angielsku 📖
Bigos (Polish Hunter's Stew) Recipe:Ingredients:
- 1 kg sauerkraut, drained
- 500 g fresh cabbage, shredded
- 250 g smoked Polish sausage, sliced
- 250 g bacon, diced
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 5 juniper berries
- 500 g mixed meats (pork, beef, veal), cubed
- 250 g dried mushrooms, soaked and sliced
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and bacon, and cook until the onions are translucent and the bacon is crispy.
2. Add the sliced sausage and cubed meats to the pot, and brown them on all sides.
3. Stir in the tomato paste, garlic, bay leaves, and juniper berries. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
4. Add the sauerkraut and fresh cabbage to the pot, along with the soaked and sliced mushrooms. Mix everything together.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then cover the pot and simmer over low heat for at least 2 hours, or until the flavors meld together.
6. Serve hot with rye bread or boiled potatoes.
