Przepis na karpatke po angielsku 📖
Karpatka (Crunchy Cream Puff) Recipe:Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: chocolate ganache or powdered sugar for topping
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.
2. Remove from the heat and stir in the flour and salt until the mixture forms a smooth ball.
3. Transfer the dough to a mixing bowl and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated. The dough should be thick and sticky.
5. Spoon the dough onto a baking sheet, creating a rectangular shape about 1/2 inch thick.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (180°C) and bake for an additional 15 minutes to dry out the inside.
7. Remove from the oven and let the pastry cool completely on a wire rack.
8. Once cooled, slice the pastry in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom layer.
9. In a separate bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to beat until well combined.
10. Spread a generous layer of whipped cream on the bottom half of the pastry.
11. Carefully place the top half of the pastry on the cream layer, pressing down lightly.
12. Optional: Drizzle with chocolate ganache or dust with powdered sugar on top for decoration.
13. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
14. Slice into individual servings and enjoy!
Note: Karpatka is a traditional Polish pastry also known as "crunchy cream puff" due to its crispy outer layer and creamy filling.
