Przepis na zupę pomidorową po angielsku 📖

Ingredients:
- 1 kg ripe tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:
1. Start by blanching the tomatoes. Score a small "X" on the bottom of each tomato, then drop them into a pot of boiling water for about 1 minute. Remove them and place them in a bowl of ice water. Peel off the skin, then cut the tomatoes in half and remove the seeds. Chop the tomatoes into small pieces.
2. In a large soup pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté for about 5 minutes until they become translucent.
3. Add the diced carrot and celery to the pot, and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Next, add the chopped tomatoes to the pot along with the vegetable broth, sugar, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let the soup simmer for about 20 minutes.
5. After 20 minutes, use an immersion blender or transfer the mixture to a blender, and blend until smooth. If using a blender, return the soup to the pot.
6. Taste and adjust the seasonings if needed. If the soup is too thick, you can add a little more vegetable broth or water to achieve the desired consistency.
7. Simmer the soup for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
